Hi, my name is Sara Wieder. I live in Jerusalem, Israel. I have two children which keeps me really busy. My hobby is reading (in my busy schedule I rarely have time to read these days). I enjoy reading books that have depth and insight usually non- fiction. I also enjoy baking, which I usually do more than reading. At this time, I do not teach but I have taught in the past. I had the opportunity to teach science, math, and social studies to students with learning disabilities. It was an amazing and uplifting experience teaching these students. One day, I hope to teach special education students. This is my second semester at NYIT online masters. I am not really educated in teaching language arts, but I am looking forward to learning all about it in this course. The term “new literacies” is new to me. I think it means a new way to teach literacy and integrating technology. My concerns about this course are that i am not very computer savvy and a blog is a totally new thing for me. I am looking forward to a great semester!
